Kojima Production’s teaser website received an update at some point this weekend. The stupid picture of the grassy field is still up but now there’s a countdown clock too.
According to Blend Games’ team of crack mathematicians, the website’s clock will expire on Thursday. When the timer runs out, maybe they’ll actually reveal what this game is. Or maybe the countdown will be replaced with some other teaser, so as to string us along until an E3 announcement. Good times.
The clouds in the picture have turned darker since last week and when lightning strikes, a symbol – either a “5″ or an “S” – flashes on screen. As previously mentioned, the source code mentions “Metal Gear” and “MGS” so the Internet will be abuzz with Metal Gear Solid 5 rumors over the next couple days. A pretentious teaser website does seem like an appropriate prelude to a new Metal Gear Solid game.
