What The Hell Is Modern War Hero
It seems Activision isn’t the only company that loves copyrighting game titles with the word “Hero” in it. Gearbox Software has filed copyrights for four new titles.
According to superannuation, Gearbox has filed trademark registrations for World War II Hero, War Hero, Brother In Arms War Hero, and Modern War Hero. Brother in Arms is the name of Gearbox’s WW2 squad shooter series so I understand that particular title. War Hero doesn’t sound bad, either. The other two just sound like Gearbox is mashing words together at random, though.
Anyway, it seems like they’re considering making another Brother in Arms-like game but they’re not sure they need to keep that moniker anymore. Gearbox will release Borderlands this fall and Alien: Colonial Marines sometime next year so it’s possible we might not hear anything about this mystery project for awhile.
