Deep Silver recently announced that the PC version of the open-world, action-RPG, Risen, has finally gone gold for PC and that means that the developers are done and finished working on the actual game design. They also announced that the game was set for release on October 2nd.

The game is currently under development for the Xbox 360 by Piranha Bytes, the same folk who made the very popular and highly regarded Gothic series. The game is scheduled for release on the Xbox 360 early next year.
