Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron Dev Doc

Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron Dev Doc

Its tough to be positive in a news story about a handheld version of a game that we were teased with earlier this year for the Xbox 360, PC and PS3. Yes, for those of you who dont remember, before Free Radical became Crytek UK, they were working on Star Wars Battlefront 3. The leaked alpha footage had everyone excited about what new possibilities the game presented. However, that Battlefront has faded from view and instead LucasArts is shoving a new handheld version down the throats of gamers and its called Battlefront: Elite Squadron.
A new behind-the-scenes featurette was released to talk about all the amazing features present in a DS and PSP game that is due out on November 3rd. The only two noteworthy aspects of the game, of course, come in the form of the ground-to-space option and the character customization feature.
Both versions also support 16-players for epic multiplayer battles that span the likes of old and new gameplay modes, including Heroes vs Villains, Conquest and Galactic Conquest. As mentioned before, its tough to stay positive about a handheld game featuring mediocre options suited for the Xbox and PS2 when we were introduced to a truly next-generation version of Battlefront 3 earlier this year.
