GameStop and select European retailers will be giving out a DLC pack to pre-order customers. A new trailer shows off the pack’s contents.
The Tri-Weapon Pack adds three weapons to player’s arsenals. It contains the Boost Machine Gun, Anti-Armor Pistol, and Laser Cannon. It can be downloaded off Xbox Live or PSN using the voucher provided by retailers.
Vanquish hits North America on October 19th. The Japanese and European launch will occur on October 21st and 22nd, respectively.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 is set to hit North America next week. According to a new website domain registration, Sega’s already looking forward to a third game.
reports that Sega has registered . There’s no website up at that domain currently, though.
Sega previously stated their intentions to make a . However, they weren’t sure at the time whether it would be on the PSP or PS3. The first game was a PS3 exclusive while the second is only on the PSP.

Sega announced that a playable demo of their fast-paced, action-packed third-person shooter, Vanquish, will be arriving next week for both the Xbox 360 and PS3. Looks like the PS3 is no longer being treated like the little retard it was a few years back. That’s good news for the fanboys.
The demo sets players up with the following scenario
That description alone doesnt nearly describe how frantically dynamic the gameplay is in Vanquish. Its like Gears of War meets Gundam meets a bottle of nitrous oxide and tequila. Its explosive.

Someone over at Sega must have woke up on the innovative-technology side of the bed, because their latest game, Virtua Tennis 4 for the PS3, will feature all the latest and greatest on the technology front. The game is coming exclusively to the PS3 (for now) in 2011.
Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA Europe and SEGA America commented in the press release, saying…
Youll need a television that supports passive/active 3D and a pair of nifty glasses to make use of itI guess did pick a good time to enter the 3D eyewear arena.
The game will make good use of the PS Move, as well, allowing for speed, power, angle and balance to all affect how players will hit the in-game ball and how the ball will react to the hit. Sounds kind of coolhopefully this wont be a repeat of the Wii Sports Tennis and the epic fail response timing of the Wii-mote.

You can now grab a digital copy of Sega’s prized action-MMO for the Xbox 360, Phantasy Star Universe, which is now available via the Games On-Demand service for Xbox Live.
The announcement comes shortly after Sega released the new not too long ago, along with previous DLC that became available for free. Gamers can now grab the under-promoted RPG for only 19.95.
Both Silver and Gold subscribers of Xbox Live can pony up some cash for the game and play the off-line content at no additional charge. However, if you want to play the game online youll have to let Microsoft ravage your wallet a bit and have its way with your money.

Sega announced that new downloadable content is available to expand the Phantasy Star Universe with brand new adventures, including a free expansion called the Ambition of the Illuminus.
As stated in the press release
Basically gamers are getting a two-for-one deal with the expansion content for Segas MMO, Phantasy Star Universe. And given that Nexon and every other company who wanted to put their MMOs on the Xbox 360 has hit a roadblock, it looks like youll be stuck with Phantasy Star in the meantime.

Game over, man, game over! Sega revealed today that upcoming patches for the PS3 and Xbox 360 for Aliens vs. Predator have been tossed out.
“I’ve just received a mail this AM regarding patches for the console versions of AVP and I regret to inform everyone that these have sadly been scrapped,” community manager Clumsyorchid said on the . “I had previously made a claim that these were coming and at the time, this was very much on the table. For the console community, I apologize, as I know there are many features and updates that you’d like to see.”
“I’ll keep fighting internally for this to happen, but until I hear otherwise, there will not be a console patch for either Xbox or PS3.”
This is a bit surprising as the game has received plenty of post-release support. Two have been released for the game since its early 2010 launch. Why provide DLC and not patches? I’m sure it’s a complete coincidence that DLC earns money and patches don’t.
